LLandudno Junction |

| Llandudno Junction lies approximately halfway between Chester and Holyhead and is the interchange between the Conwy Valley Line and the National Rail Network. Across the wide estuary lies Conwy Castle built between 1283 and 1289 by Edward 1 and which still dominates the huge panoramic views looking towards the mountains of Snowdonia. | ||
| From the station you can stroll across the river bridge to visit this, one of the grandest pieces of medieval military architecture in all Europe. As a World Heritage Site of Significant European Importance, Conwy has numerous historic buildings including a 14th century merchant's house, a magnificent Elizabethan town house and the smallest house in Britain, all this in addition to a picturesque and busy harbour. |

On the estuary, also a brief walk from the station is Conwy Nature Reserve recently opened by the RSPB as a haven for wading birds and wildfowl. Should cinema be your passion there is a multi-screen complex close by. |
