Landlord Accreditation Wales

Landlord Accreditation Wales Logo

On this page you will find out information regarding this centrally run scheme, controlled in partnership by all of the 22 Councils in Wales.

The scheme is Council run and backed by a number of providers. Make it easier to rent your accommodation and feel rest assured you are running your business in the most effective and efficient way.

It gives advantages to people interested in the buy to let market as much as experienced landlords with portfolios of houses.

Key to this Scheme is the development session

Delivered by people with real experience in the private rented sector, the day aims to make sure you are running your business correctly and in accordance with the rules and regulations that govern the sector.  It also gives you the opportunity to meet other landlords and learn from their experiences.

Sessions are held at venues across Wales

There is no fee to join, but you do have to pay to attend the one day development course.  There is a discount for applying on-line.

"for the small price I paid to attend the course, I have gained a lot. I like being able to say I am endorsed by the Council, and all the things I learnt means that I am a better, more organised landlord"

How to join

Easy to join, and with a host of benefits, get recognition for being a good landlord.

You can either apply on-line, or contact the scheme administrator for a paper application.

To become accredited you must sign up to a 'Code of Conduct', declare you are 'Fit and Proper', and successfully complete a one day development session.
