Kids Kamp May half term activities
We understand that not all kids enjoy running around all day, and of course, it can be quite tiring being on the go from 08:00 - 17:00!
In order to break the day up we offer a mixture of activities that don't require bags of energy such as playing games & singing karaoke on the Wii. Each week we try to incorporate a different theme such as ‘magic week’, ‘nature week’, ‘super heroes’ to name a few.
A typical day includes the following:
Children are split into age groups and have a fun half hour structured swimming session taken by a qualified swimming teacher. Upon registration we ask you to inform us of their swimming ability. If your child is under 8 we ask for confirmation that they are able to dry and dress themselves as staff cannot assist your child with this. If they cannot, a parent / guardian is allowed to stay and assist them. *Please note that in some sites, children under 8yrs old will not be able to swim, so please check when you make your booking.
Each child will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of sports such as hockey, netball, football, dodgeball, basketball & athletics.
At Kids Kamp we play all sorts of games with the children, such as traditional playground games like British bull dog, tip on lines, stuck in the mud, as well as other games such as splat bang, duck duck goose, X-Factor, and Britain's Got Talent to name just a few!
Alongside our structured activities, the children get the chance to have ‘free play’, a child led session which allows the children to use their imagination to come up with their own games using various bits and pieces like cardboard boxes, rope etc.
Arts and Crafts
We do a range of things from making pirate hats and swords to wall graffiti and collages. Often our arts are tied into our weekly themes.
This is one of the children's favourite activities. They can have their own faces painted; paint the face of one of their friends or even the staff!
As well as all of the above activities we also offer a bouncy castle, dance mats, sumo suits, obstacle courses...the list goes on!
