Conwy shortlisted at the annual APSE Performance Network Awards

Conwy County Borough Council has been shortlisted in four categories at the Performance Network Awards 2018 run by the Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE).

The Council’s Environment, Roads and Facilities Service has been shortlisted for the Best Performer Award in three Categories: Parks, Open Spaces & Horticultural Services; Street Cleansing; and Crematorium & Cemeteries Services. Conwy has also been shortlisted as a most improved performer for the Street Cleansing Service.

APSE is a not-for-profit organisation that works with local authorities and specialises in promoting excellence in frontline service provision.

Councils are measured using performance data from member authorities and factors such as quality, cost effectiveness and productivity of frontline services are considered.

Cllr Donald Milne, Conwy County Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment, Roads and Facilities, said: “The work of Conwy’s parks and green spaces team, the street cleansing team and the crematorium & cemeteries provide vital and valued services for the community and it’s pleasing to see them shortlisted in these prestigious public sector awards.”

The Award winners will be announced on 6 December.
