Engagement Event

Residents from the west of Conwy County are being invited to join County Councillors at an Area Forum Engagement Event on Saturday, 26 January from 10.30 (doors open 10.00) until 12.30pm to look at local priorities, with a focus on Tourism, Health and Transport.

If you live in Llanfairfechan, Penmaenmawr, Henryd, Conwy, Deganwy, Glan Conwy or Llandudno Junction why not join us at this event being held in the Council Chamber at Bodlondeb, Conwy.

Cllr Emma Leighton-Jones, Chair of the Forum, says, “We’re keen for the public to participate and engage on what is important to local communities. The Forum has the potential to stimulate cohesive communities and growth, and is an important part of local democracy”.

Local Area Forums have only recently been set up and they aim to bring the Council closer to the community by providing Councillors in a particular geographic area of the County Borough an opportunity to meet and discuss local issues and talk about what can be achieve by working jointly with local stakeholders.

Conwy County Borough Council has five Area Forums covering the County, covering the North, South, Central and East of the County as well as this group covering the West.

For more information about the event contact Cllr Emma Leighton-Jones (Chair of the Forum) on cllr.emma.leighton-jones@conwy.gov.uk or 07701376707. Please advise if you have any special needs that need to be catered for.
