Flood Alleviation Work at Chapel Street, Mochdre

Drop-in session at Mochdre Village Hall on Monday 13th August from 4pm to 7.30pm.

Conwy County Borough Council will be carrying out flood alleviation work at Chapel Street in Mochdre between August and November 2018.

The work will include:

  • Constructing a new culvert and trash screen across the Afon Min at the Glan Yr Afon care facility
  • Replacing the trash screen
  • Road drainage and highway resurfacing work opposite the Heol Fryn junction
  • Replacing the existing culvert across the Old Conway Road, adjacent to Tanyrallt Street.

The work is expected to take about 16 weeks and will require intermittent road closures and diversions. 

Conwy County Borough Council will work with the contractor, Alun Griffith (Contractors) Ltd, to minimise disruption to the local community and businesses.
