Welcome to Conwy Archive Service, established in 1996 when the unitary authority of Conwy County Borough was formed from parts of the historic counties of Caernarfonshire and Denbighshire.

We're open to the public every Monday to Thursday from 10 am to 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm. 

Changes to Opening Hours

Please note that Conwy Archive Service will open at 11am on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 13 May 2009
  • Wednesday 17 June 2009
  • Wednesday 8 July 2009
  • Wednesday 19 August 2009
  • Wednesday 9 September 2009

This is due to staff training.  We apologise for any inconvenience.

Strategic Review of Archive Services in North Wales 28/08/2008

An important review of archive services in North Wales is taking place. The work, which will be undertaken between July and December 2008, has been commissioned by the six North Wales councils and will be undertaken by consultancy partnership Creative Cultures.

The British Library has revealed the winners of its Hidden Treasures competition, in which manuscripts of national importance from around the UK will be made available to a worldwide audience through their Turning the Pages 2.0 website.
