Conservation and Regeneration

The Hand, Ancaster Square, Llanrwst
The Hand, Ancaster Square, Llanrwst
Renovated as part of Llanrwst Town Centre Townscape Heritage Initiative

Dealing with listed buildings, conservation areas and property grant schemes.

One of the main aims of the Planning system is to prepare for the future while at the same time preserving the best of the past and present. Conwy has a rich heritage of historic buildings and the Council is eager to ensure that the buildings are protected from damage and where necessary enhanced. There are laws concerning the protection of our historic townscapes and buildings and this section is intended to give an insight into them and to briefly explain the Council's role in conservation and regeneration matters associated with the built environment.

For more information about Conwy's Conservation and Regeneration services, please browse the site or contact our Colwyn Bay office.
