Your Councillors

Local Councillors are elected by the community to decide how the Council should carry out its various activities. They represent public interest as well as individuals living within the electoral division in which he or she has been elected to serve a term of office.

You can contact your local Councillor in a number of ways. Contact details can be found on the Councillor’s individual page.

Councillors are entitled to different types of salaries, allowances and expenses dependent on the roles and responsibilities they have.

Councillors are required to register any personal or financial interests they might have in line with the 'Code of Conduct'. These can be viewed by selecting a Councillor’s individual page.

The Local Authority is required to ensure that Councillors are able to make an Annual Report for their Council activities during the previous year. It is a matter for Councillors whether they choose to take up the opportunity to produce Annual Reports but if they have they can be viewed by selecting a Councillor’s individual page.
