Partner Events
Throughout the year, Conwy Employment Hub played an integral role in several key partner events that promoted inclusive recruitment and professional development across the region.
Inclusive Employment Conference and Job Fair
On 30 October, Conwy Employment Hub collaborated with Stand, North Wales Together, and Working Denbighshire to deliver the Inclusive Employment Employers Conference and Job Fair at Venue Cymru.
The morning conference, themed “Having a Diverse Workforce – Employment without Barriers”, featured keynote speakers who shared insights into the challenges, solutions, and effective strategies for inclusive recruitment practices.
In the afternoon, the Main Hall was transformed into a vibrant Job Fair attended by 95 organisations, charities, and specialist employers. The event also featured a wide range of interactive activities and workshops, including British Sign Language sessions, interactive art experiences, animal encounters, a Lego Café, a drop-in Sensory Room, a demonstration of assistive apps, and the immersive Autism Reality Experience Bus.
Institute of Employability Professionals (IEP) Summit
On 23 April 2024, Libby Duo, Strategic Manager of Conwy Employment Hub, was invited as a guest speaker at the IEP Membership Summit for Housing and Local Authority Employability Professionals.
