Working Wales supports both the employer and those under threat of redundancy. This includes careers advice and coaching, identifying possible sources of funding for training, information on job vacancies and help with CVs and job applications. Most employers will have a return-to-work conversation or meeting with employees to ensure everything is considered when planning their successful and safe return to the workplace.
Working Wales offers in-work support service which provides rapid access to tailored occupational therapy, physiotherapy and psychological therapy services to help employed people return to work. Training can be accessed by micro, small and medium sizes enterprises in any sector with mental health and musculoskeletal health conditions.

Skills gateway for business
This is an online portal for businesses to access advice and support to help them grow and thrive. From developing the skills of existing employees to recruitment support and training programmes, Skills Gateway for Business offers a range of solutions to meet individual business needs.
Businesses can create a skills profile, find out more about support available in their local area and speak to dedicated Business Wales advisors who will help them find the right solution for their business.
This is an all-age programme which allows businesses a cost-effective recruitment option and help them create a pool of new talent, fill skills gaps and grow.
As well as having the training costs for your new recruit covered, all employers currently receive up to £3,000 towards employment costs for each new apprentice they hire provided they’re aged 16-24.
ReAct offers support for people who have recently been made redundant, unemployed or are under current notice of redundancy, and employers can tap into this pool of skilled and experienced employees and get them back into work. Businesses receive up to £3,000 in quarterly instalments for the first 12 months to help cover wages, as well as up to £1,000 for any job-related skills training needed.
Businesses of any size can make use of traineeships to scout new talent and offer a work taster, with training designed to suit specific needs to help meet your business objectives. The programme is aimed at unemployed individuals aged 16 and 17.
GO Wales works with students (under 25 year olds) in higher education facing barriers to securing work experience, to help them find work placement opportunities with local employers. Depending on the individual, employers may have the option of having a project completed during the placement and may also be eligible for a subsidy of 50% of the wages.
