Course aims and objectives

This course is aimed for those who wish to understand and work using the Portage model of working and supporting children in the early years with additional learning needs.

Course content:

  • Portage Model
  • Supporting the Development of Play
  • Using Clear Language• Planning Successful Outcomes
  • Using the Small Steps Approach
  • Positive Approaches to Behaviour
  • Follow up session

On successful full completion of all the modules, the participants will be able to say that they are trained in Portage and will have a certificate from the NPA to support this.
