A shortage of affordable housing threatens the social and economic sustainability of many rural communities.

What is a Rural Housing Enabler?

Rural Housing Enablers work with rural communities providing independent advice and support, acting as a facilitator and helping them through the complicated process of providing affordable housing. The Rural Housing Enabler works with Community Councils, local landowners, Planning Officers, National Parks, Housing Associations and other relevant individuals and organisations, helping to find practical solutions to meeting housing need in rural areas.

Funded mainly by the Welsh Government, the Conwy and Denbighshire Rural Housing Enabler works across the rural areas of both counties.
