Summary (optional)
start content

Grid Reference: SH 987806.

Kinmel Dunes is one of the few surviving fragments of sand dune in the locality. This small sand dune system is home to a variety of native maritime plants such as the attractive sea holly, bird’s foot trefoil, common restharrow and lucerne.

Seals can sometimes be seen close to the shore and bird life includes the skylark, kestrel and ringed plover. Wheelchair access is possible along the promenade and also along paths leading through the dunes. A refreshments kiosk is open during the summer. The North Wales Path, for which a leaflet is available, runs parallel to the shore and allows a pleasant walk along the sea front.
