Grid Reference: SH 927703

Ddol Bach emerged from an environmental enhancement scheme that was carried out in 2000, funded by Conwy County Borough Council, Wales Tourist Board, Cadwyn Leader II and the Llanfair Talhaiarn Community Council.  The scheme’s objectives were to enhance local and visitor enjoyment.

This site is an area of open flat low lying ground, adjacent to the River Elwy. At present there are areas of tree and scrub cover with a seeded wildflower meadow and pond. These elements make Ddol Bach a haven for birds and butterflies. The river’s edge provides rare glimpses of kingfishers.

This site also benefits from bench seating, parking and a public house.
