The reserve path is currently closed due to storm damage and river erosion. There is no access through the reserve between the Newry Drive entrance and the Three Streams car park at the top of Valley Road.
After repeated storm damage over the winter, we looked at possible temporary alternatives to provide access to the site but none were viable.
This means the reserve path will stay closed until we can carry out full repairs to resinstate the eroded path and the missing stepping stones.
As this is a main river, we are not permitted to do work between October and May because of fish spawning.
Work can take place outside of these months if we have secured funding and a river work permit from Natural Resources Wales.
We apologise for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
This page will be updated with more information as the repair scheme develops.
