A number of historical buildings, gardens, interesting and unusual locations throughout Conwy and Gwynedd will be open to the public for free this September.
As part of CADW’s 'Open Doors' scheme, more than 50 buildings across Conwy and Gwynedd will open their doors to the public as part of an annual programme that celebrates Wales’ architectural heritage.
Throughout September, events and activities will be held at locations across both counties with opportunities for local residents and visitors to get a taste of the area’s history and heritage. This year the programme is welcoming an exciting Heritage Lottery re-development project with Penmaenmawr Museum. Opening their newly refurbished exhibition and café area, the independent museum explores the Neolithic and Bronze Age worlds of the locality and the hardship felt by the quarry workers and families in the Victorian era.
