These routes are designed to follow the Welsh Government’s Active Travel Design Guidance.
The Highways Act 1980 allows us to authorise cycling on designated footpaths. We will do this by putting up signs to tell users that the route can be used by both cyclists and pedestrians. For users with visual impairment, we will identify the route using corduroy tactile paving in the footpath.
