We will be carrying out essential website maintenance in the afternoon which will affect some functionality. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience the work may cause and will do all we can to keep disruption to an absolute minimum.

Secondary Traumatic Stress- Virtual Session via ZOOM

Summary (optional)
Social services staff are chronically exposed to the traumatic experiences and stories of others and right now are on the front lines of a global crisis. Secondary traumatic stress can happen suddenly, while vicarious trauma is cumulative, but both are in response to this exposure. We can’t completely immunise ourselves whilst still remaining compassionate, but we can learn ways to better support ourselves both individually and as an organisation.
