Course aims and objectives:
- A brief overview of some of the main welfare benefits available to people. For example Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment, Pension Credit and Carers Allowance.
- To give an understanding of the difference between means tested and non means tested benefits.
- To give an awareness of other sources of help available for when people are in financial hardship.
