Course details:

Regardless of their experiences resilient children have as much potential as anyone else, and the skills of resilience can be taught.

This course will build upon what we know works and developments in neuroscience to offer ways in which foster carers can help boost the resilience of the children they are caring for.

Target Group - Practitioners, Case Holders working with Children & Young People, Foster Carers who have completed Building Resilience in Children & Young People Half Day Session within the past 2 years


Course aims and objectives:

  • How cumulative adverse experiences change a child's nervous system.
  • Children with broken attachments, stress and shame
  • Domains of resilience
  • Emphasising - relationships, understanding their story, future thinking, learning new skills, and managing feelings.
