Course Summary:

  • To increase your skills and knowledge in dysphagia management – learn about swallowing problems, how to identify and manage them, how to support people with dysphagia.
  • To introduce the SCIP
  • To train registered nurses how to use the SCIP and refer to SLT where appropriate (last 30 minutes of the training for RN’s only).

Course Details:

  • Target Group: Registered Nurses and Care staff in Nursing and Residential Homes
  • Facilitated by: Speech and Language Therapy team 
  • All sessions are delivered via MS Teams
