Active Travel Route: Rhos Point Shared Cycleway

Work starts:     Monday 6th January 2020
Work finishes: Friday 27th March 2020 (weather permitting)

We are pleased to let you know that the Council has prioritised Rhos Point for footway improvement work, as part of our ongoing investment to improve our Active Travel network.

What is happening?
We will be constructing a new shared cycle/pedestrian route along Rhos Point which will also include traffic calming features and a new sea wall.
Parking may be restricted at certain times during the works. Please avoid parking by the sections of footpath that the contractor will be working on. This will help us to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Pedestrian access using the existing footpaths along Rhos Point may be restricted at times. We apologise in advance for the inconvenience this may cause - we will try to keep disruption to a minimum.
The new shared cycle/pedestrian route will provide a safer, easier and direct route along the coast and will be a long lasting benefit to the community.

Who is doing the work?
The work will be done by our contractors GH James Cyf.

If you need more information, please contact the Advice Team at
erf@conwy.gov.uk or telephone 01492 576100.

We apologise for the inconvenience.
Thank you for your patience while we carry out this improvement work.
