Book Bingo with Conwy Libraries

This summer Conwy Libraries launched their very first adult reading challenge, Book Bingo, to encourage our 18+ readers to try new authors, formats and genres.

You can collect your Bingo card from your local library and complete three boxes in any direction to take part.

Once you have read a book then library staff will stamp your card and when you complete the line of three, there is a library themed prize.

Whether you listen to audiobooks, read large print or use Borrowbox or uLibrary – the challenge can be completed by any format.

Book Bingo ran alongside the ‘Summer Reading Challenge’, a national scheme brought to public libraries by The Reading Agency, to support reading for children aged 4 to 11 during the school holidays.

So far around 150 readers have signed up to Book Bingo since it began in August and our libraries are continuing by extending the challenge into the autumn up until Christmas - think cosy reads and crime mysteries.

A Penmaenmawr library borrower who recently completed the challenge said, "It's so lovely to have a reading challenge for adults over the summer, so we can join the youngsters when they start their Summer Reading Challenge. And as well as making us explore books we might never usually pick up, we also get a lovely tote bag! Bonus!".
