One week left to register to vote in local elections

The deadline to register to vote is Thursday 14 April.

With only one week to go until the deadline to register to vote in local elections, Conwy County Borough Council is urging residents to make sure they are registered in time.

On Thursday 5 May voters in Conwy County Borough will go to the polls for local government elections.

Anyone not registered to vote at their current address can register online at www.gov.uk/registertovote

Iwan Davies,Returning Officer for Conwy said: “With only one week to go, time is running out to make sure you can take part in the elections on Thursday 5 May. These elections are an opportunity to have a say on who represents local people on issues that directly affect day-to-day life here in Conwy County Borough.  But if you’re not registered by 14 April, you won’t be able to vote.”

 

Important Dates

  • The deadline to register to vote: Thursday 14 April 2022
  • Deadline to apply for a postal vote: 5pm Tuesday 19 April 2022
  • Deadline to apply for a proxy vote: 5pm Tuesday 26 April 2022
