Road closure: Tŷ Gwyn Road, Llandudno
Work starts: Monday 13 May 2019
Work finishes: Friday 17 May 2019
Road closed from 08:00 to 17:00 every day.
We need to carry out important safety work to Tŷ Gwyn Road which means closing the road for 5 days for vehicles and pedestrians. We know this is an inconvenience but it is important to make sure the area is safe.
What is happening?
We will be clearing loose rock from the rock faces above Tŷ Gwyn Road, near the junction of Plas Road.
The road will be closed from Hill Terrace to just below the junction of Plas Road. There will be a diversion along Plas Road and a one way system will be in place on Plas Road, towards Tŷ Gwyn Road.
Traffic from the Orme will be diverted down St Tudno’s Road and around Marine Drive to West Shore.
Please do not park on Plas Road at any time between Monday 13th May and Friday 17th May. Any parked vehicles will be towed and you will be charged to get them returned.
We will provide a free replacement minibus service next week from the Palladium up the Orme along the diversion route.
This minibus will replace the Arriva Bus service from 9:08 am. It will run at the usual time of 8 minutes past the hour from the Palladium until the last pick up at 16:08 pm. During times when the road is open, the Arriva service will run as normal.
Traffic restrictions: Tŷ Gwyn Road, Llandudno
Work starts: Monday 27 May for up to 4 weeks
We will be doing more work on clearing and netting the rock face between Tŷ Gwyn Road, from the junction of Hill Terrace.
The road will not be closed, but there will be two-way traffic lights.
