Road resurfacing: Penmaenmawr Road, Llanfairfechan

Works start: Tuesday 28 May 2019

Works finish: Friday 31 2019 (weather permitting)

We are pleased to let you know that the Council has prioritised Penmaenmawr Road for resurfacing, as part of our ongoing investment to improve our road network.

What is happening?

We will be resurfacing Penmaenmawr Road from the traffic lights to the car park of the Village Inn. The work will be done at night to minimise disruption to traffic.

Please do not park on this section of Penmaenmawr Road between 6.30pm and 6.00am. This will help us to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible.

There will be pedestrian access to the Village Inn at all times. Access to the pub car park will be phased between 7:00pm and 12:00pm (up to 40 minute delay during planing and resurfacing work).

The new road surface will provide a smoother, quieter ride and will be a long lasting benefit to the community.

Who is doing the work?

The work will be done by our contractors Roadway Surfacing.

If you need more information, please contact the Advice Team at

Thank you for your patience while we carry out this improvement work.

There will be no work overnight on Thursday 30 May. Road markings will be done overnight on Friday 31 May. This will involve temporary traffic management - please allow for some delays. Buses will run as usual.
