State Funeral bank holiday: Council services

Monday, 19 September will be a bank holiday to mark the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Conwy County Borough Council premises will be closed. This includes Council offices, leisure centres, libraries, schools, public conveniences, household recycling centres, tourist information centres, Venue Cymru and the Great Orme Tramway.

Theatr Colwyn will open for those in our community who may wish to view the State Funeral with others.

There will also be changes to recycling and waste collections next week, with no collections on Monday. All collections across the county will take place one day later than normal. 

Council premises will be operating as normal from Tuesday 20 September.

Recycling and Waste Collections: No collections on Monday 19th September 2022.  Next week (19-24 September) all collections will take place one day later than normal.  Monday’s collections will take place on Tuesday; Tuesday’s collections will take place on Wednesday; Wednesday’s collections on Thursday; Thursday’s collections on Friday, and Friday’s collections on Saturday.
