Storm Ciara Update

Weather-related problems were widespread yesterday. Many incidents were reported with a significant number of trees down and roads closed. We had crews out across the county throughout the day.

The clean-up has continued all day today (10/02/20), with crews removing fallen trees, inspecting damaged roads and clearing debris left by the storm and floodwater.

Roads still closed as at 4pm today:

  • Crafnant Road, Trefriw (landslide)
  • A547 Llanddulas to Abergele (flooding)

The school closures information is updated each morning at www.conwy.gov.uk/schoolclosures

Council Leader, Cllr Sam Rowlands, said: “It was a terrible weekend for residents and businesses across the county. I’m very grateful to our staff and people in the local communities for the way they dealt with the situation in the most atrocious weather conditions.”
