One of the UK’s hottest artists and current Top 5 chart topper, Jess Glynne, will bring her vibrant brand of pop music to Stadiwm Zip World on Sunday 7 July 2019, to the much loved annual event in Colwyn Bay.
Tickets go on sale from 10am Friday 14 December 2018, and are available from Venue Cymru.
When Jess looks at the statistics that have marked her sky-rocketing career so far, there is a look of mild disbelief on her face, as if this might have happened to someone else. I Cry When I Laugh is one of the defining British pop records of its era holding its place in the charts for 138 weeks and counting. It debuted at number 1, spawning 12million worldwide singles sales, 39 weeks on the UK top 10, 2.5billion Spotify streams, a sold out UK arena tour, Brit, MTV: EMA, Ivor Novello, MOBO, Q and Glamour award nominations.
Since then, she has released her chart-topping second studio album, Always In Between which went straight into the #1 spot, while continuing her run of hit singles with I'll Be There, a seventh top spot that secured Glynne the record for most #1 singles by a British female solo artist, then All I Am and Thursday.
Cllr Louise Emery, Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Conwy County Borough Council said “We’re really looking forward to welcoming Jess Glynne to Colwyn Bay. Events in Conwy County have proved to be vital to the area’s economy, and the annual concerts at Stadiwm Zip World, Parc Eirias, are an example of that. The investment that has gone into the area in recent years has helped Conwy County become one of the most thriving events and visitor locations in the UK. We thank Orchard for once again working with us to provide top artist in Colwyn Bay.”
The date is once again being promoted by current and three times Live UK Regional Promoter of the year Orchard Live (formerly Orchard Entertainment). Pablo Janczur, director of Orchard Live said: “Jess is one of the biggest and hottest names in music, and has got rave reviews for her current shows. We love coming to Colwyn Bay every year and partying alongside the fantastic audience that Access All Eirias has; next year will be no different!”
Jess Glynne will follow in the footsteps of Paloma Faith, Little Mix, Elton John, Bryan Adams, Lionel Richie and Olly Murs who have all played the event in previous years.
