Racism has no place in our community. It causes deep harm to individuals, families, and wider society. We are committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels safe, respected and valued.

See It – Safeguard – Stop It

See It: Report any incidents happening in or around our premises to a member of staff.

Safeguard: Safety is a priority, make sure to safeguard yourself and other people.

Stop It: We are committed to creating inclusive, safe spaces where racism is not welcome. Help us be part of the solution.

We do not tolerate:

  • Offensive jokes, slurs, or discriminatory remarks
  • Threatening, abusive, or violent behaviour
  • Hate speech, symbols, or gestures of intolerance

Consequences for unacceptable behaviour may include:

  • Being asked to leave Council premises
  • We may call the police if necessary

Together we can build a community rooted in dignity, equality and mutual respect.
If you have experienced or witnessed any racist incidents, please tell someone. It’s important to report and seek support.

Is it an emergency? Call 999 now in an emergency situation like these:

  • There is an immediate danger to life
  • Someone is using violence or is threatening to be violent
  • A crime is happening right now and the suspect is still at the scene
