Aim: The foster carer will be able to discuss their understanding of discrimination and evidence their ability to promote anti-discriminatory practice.

• Learn and reflect on the varied backgrounds that children, young people and their families originate from
• Learn about legislation relevant to this subject
• Promote each child and young person’s uniqueness
• Discuss the different forms of discrimination and consider strategies to address
