Course aims and objectives

This training introduces the Effective Child Protection (ECP) Model, a structured framework designed to improve safeguarding practice.

ECP is built around four key principles:

  • Conversations
  • Thresholds
  • Change
  • Measure

The course will support practitioners to engage meaningfully with families, apply consistent thresholds for intervention, identify necessary changes, and evaluate the impact of their work.

Participants will leave equipped to make informed decisions, promote collaborative safeguarding, and ensure interventions lead to measurable improvements in children's safety and wellbeing.

These sessions can either be attended as part of mandatory training for specific practitioners or used as a refresher.

Please do not turn up to any course unless you have received notification of your place as the event may be fully booked.
