Vote for your favourite charity in Bryson’s “Recycling Rewards” campaign
Voting is now open for Bryson Recycling’s innovative “Recycling Rewards” campaign, which helps local residents support good causes simply by recycling their garden waste.
Through this annual initiative, local social enterprise Bryson Recycling donates £1 to charity for every tonne of garden waste collected through the brown bin collection service it provides on behalf of Conwy County Borough Council.
From October 2024 to September 2025, Bryson collected 7125 tonnes of garden waste, meaning they will donate £7125 to charity.
Three local charities have been shortlisted, and Bryson is inviting residents to vote for the cause they would most like to support. The total donation will be shared between the three organisations, based on the number of votes received.
The shortlisted charities are:
- The Memorial Hall, Llandudno Junction – a well-loved community venue currently raising funds for roof repairs.
- Ysgol Porth y Felin, Conwy – supporting their Big Bocs Bwyd project, which provides access to affordable, healthy food for families.
- The Talhaiarn War Memorial Hall, Llanfair TH – a welcoming community hub that has offered a wide range of events and activities for over 100 years with plans to continue for many more.
Cllr Mike Priestley, Conwy County Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood and the Environment, said, “Recycling garden waste not only helps the environment but also gives residents the chance to make a real difference locally. This campaign is a great way to support worthwhile community causes, and we encourage everyone to get involved and vote for the charity they’d like to see benefit."
Gerwyn Williams, Assistant Operations Manager at Bryson Recycling, said “At Bryson Recycling, we’re passionate about protecting the environment and supporting the local communities we serve. Our ‘Recycling Rewards’ campaign allows us to do both. Each of the shortlisted charities does incredible work, and we’d love to see as many residents as possible get involved by voting for the cause they want to support."
VOTE NOW for the cause you would most like to support. Votes must be placed by 9th November 2025.
