Ffit Conwy's first gymnastics competition a huge success

Ffit Conwy Gymnastics Club
Over 200 talented gymnasts and trampoline competitors from Conwy County gathered for a fun recreational event on Saturday 21 February 2026 to showcase their skills.
The Ffit Conwy Gymnastics Club event held at Dyffryn Conwy Leisure Centre in Llanrwst saw children and adults of all ability levels compete in a variety of routines and performances, in front of a large audience and panel of judges.
Elaine Williams, Ffit Conwy Gymnastics/Trampoline Co-ordinator and Event organiser said: “What an amazing day! The gymnasts and trampoline competitors were incredible! Everyone has worked so hard preparing for this event and they gave it their all.
“We are so proud of every single one. So much bravery, hard work, big smiles and brilliant performances.
The club has gone from strength to strength, and we have lots planned for 2026 including more classes, allowing more children to join.”
Each competitor received a medal, certificate and t-shirt and awards were presented to overall winners.
The Gymnastics Club started in September 2025 by Conwy County Borough Council’s Leisure Services (Ffit Conwy) and works in partnership with Welsh Gymnastics following the RISE awards scheme.
The programme provides a progressive journey through recreational gymnastics where every child can experience a wide range of activities, fundamental movement patterns and gymnastics skills and embrace their creativity.
