There are two types of Taxi’s-

Hackney Carriage and Private Hire

  • A hackney carriage can be hired on a rank, be hailed in the street or booked through an operator.
  • A private hire can only be booked through an operator.

The Driver, Operator and Vehicle must be licenced by the same authority.

All applications can be completed online
