To support timely delivery of the programme, applications will be invited ahead of formal approval of the scheme by the Lead Authority. Applications will be accepted and may be assessed during this period; however, funding awards cannot be made until formal approval has been secured. The assessment of an application before approval is received should not be interpreted as a commitment to provide funding
This programme is funded through the Welsh Government Local Growth Fund (LGF) for North Wales Transition Year 2026-27 and delivered by Conwy County Borough Council.
The Conwy Business Growth & Resilience Programme has been developed to support local businesses to:
- Increase productivity and competitiveness
- Invest in business growth and innovation
- Adopt new technologies and digital solutions
- Improve workforce skills
- Enhance business resilience
- Invest in low-carbon and decarbonisation projects
- Create and safeguard employment opportunities
Funding is available towards eligible capital and selected revenue expenditure projects that contribute to one or more Local Growth Fund priorities as detailed in the full guidance.
The scheme is targeted at micro, small and medium sized enterprises (employing up to 250 people) with either a turnover at less than €50 million or a balance sheet at less than €43 million.
Grant Support Available
- Grants from £3,000 to £50,000
- Up to 70% intervention rate
- Minimum 30% applicant contribution
- Competitive discretionary grant scheme
- Funding subject to available budget and approval by the Grant Review Panel
- Projects must be completed and claimed by the date specified in the grant offer
This grant scheme is discretionary and will be operated on a first come first serve basis dependent upon availability of funds and completion of the project within the detailed period.
The grant will close to applications in at such time as the funds have been fully committed or there is insufficient time for projects to complete before the programme deadline.
Application will be through the online form. Along with the application form a number of supporting documents and information will be required.
