  • Chain of infection
  • Methods of transmission
  • Standard infection control procedures
  • Risk assessment
  • Hand hygiene
  • Waste and sharps
  • PPE
  • The care environment
  • Care equipment
  • Monitoring of exposure
  • Linen and laundry
  • Respiratory hygiene
  • Dealing with spillages of bodily fluids
  • Managing outbreaks
  • Obtaining specimens
  • Leadership and governance
  • Knowledge assessment
