Armed Forces Day

Armed Forces Week starts today (23/06/25) and culminates in Armed Forces Day on Saturday 28 June 2025.

This is a chance to show our support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community from currently serving personnel, to Service families, veterans and cadets.

It’s also Reserves Day on Wednesday 25 June 2025. Reservists give up their spare time to serve in the Reserve Forces, balancing their civilian life with a military career to ensure that should their country require them, they would be ready to serve as part of the military.   The Reserve Forces make up approximately one sixth of our Armed Forces personnel and are integral to protecting the nation’s security at home and overseas, particularly providing capability in specialist areas such as medical and cyber. Reserves Day was created to highlight and recognise the valuable contribution Reservists make to our Armed Forces.

Conwy County Borough Council supports Reserves and Cadets as part of the Armed Forces Covenant and the Employer Recognition Scheme: Conwy retains Gold Level Award - Conwy County Borough Council
