Budget Consultation 2026/27

Conwy County Borough Council
Conwy County Borough Council is inviting residents to take part in the Budget Consultation 2026/27.
Councils across the UK continue to face rising costs and growing demand for services. To maintain essential services such as education, social care, waste collection, libraries, theatres, and leisure centres, Conwy County Borough Council must address the significant funding gap in 2026/27.
To meet this challenge, the Council will need to maximise the efficient use of its resources. This may involve difficult decisions, including reducing the level of some services.
Council Leader, Cllr Julie Fallon, said: “Local authorities across the UK are facing significant challenges, and Conwy is no exception. These pressures affect the services we all rely on, and we need to make some tough decisions together.
Your views are vital in helping us shape a budget that reflects the priorities of our communities.
I strongly encourage everyone who lives or works in Conwy to review the information we’ve shared about our financial position and tell us which services matter most to you and your local area.”
The full details and the survey are available on the Conwy website at: Budget 2026-2027 survey - Conwy County Borough Council
If you’re not online you can get a paper copy at Coed Pella or at your local library.
Please submit your feedback by 23rd January 2026.
The results will be presented to councillors to help inform their budget setting discussions.
