Top Tips for Summer Outdoor Adventures
- Let children lead the way – Encourage children to choose where to go and what to explore to build confidence, curiosity and independence.
- Start close to home – Local parks, beaches, woodlands and footpaths can become exciting adventures without travelling far.
- Make it a challenge – Spot wildlife, collect interesting leaves, identify birds or create a simple treasure hunt to keep children engaged.
- Take time to connect – Outdoor adventures provide valuable opportunities for family conversations away from screens and everyday distractions.
- Discover somewhere new – Visiting unfamiliar places helps children build adaptability, confidence and a stronger understanding of the world around them.
- Treat North Wales with respect - Follow the Countryside Code by taking litter home, parking responsibly, respecting wildlife and livestock, and leaving no trace of your visit. In dry weather, avoid activities that could start a wildfire and help protect North Wales' natural environment for future generations.
