Nature Day

Nature Day 2026

Conwy County Borough Council is encouraging residents to discover and enjoy the nature on their doorstep during Wales Nature Week, 4–12 July 2026.

To mark the start of the week, the Council will host a free family-friendly Nature Day at Eirias Park on Saturday 4 July, from 11am to 3pm, funded by the Welsh Government’s Local Places for Nature Programme.

The event is open to all and aims to bring together local organisations, community groups and residents for a day focused on nature, wellbeing and learning more about the environment around us.

Visitors can enjoy a range of activities including nature-based arts and crafts, interactive stalls, face painting, storytelling and opportunities to connect with local groups.

Cllr Mike Priestley, Cabinet Member for Environment, Roads and Infrastructure, said: “We’re proud to be supporting Wales Nature Week here in Conwy. Nature is all around us in our parks, communities and coastline, and this is a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages across Conwy to reconnect with it.

“Our Nature Day at Eirias Park is a great way for families and communities to come together, have fun, and learn more about the simple ways we can all support and protect our local environment.”

Wales Nature Week, coordinated by the Wales Biodiversity Partnership, is supported by organisations, communities and local nature partnerships across Wales, all working together to promote and protect biodiversity.

Residents are encouraged to come along to the Nature Day event and to take part throughout the week by exploring the green spaces and wildlife in the local area.
