We provide advice on the whole range of social security benefits including: Disability Living Allowance Attendance Allowance Pension Credit Employment and Support Allowance
We currently provide a service to anyone who has a social worker with the following teams:
- Learning Disabilities
- Older People
- Physically Disabled and Sensory Impaired
- Young People & Families
- Mental Health
We also provide a service to anyone referred through hospital social workers or to people receiving a supported people service or a chargeable service such as homecare or day-care.
If you receive a service from any one of the above teams your social worker will automatically refer you to the Welfare Rights Unit if a benefit maximisation check is required. Unfortunately, the Welfare Rights Unit is unable to take on case work from outside these sources.
Benefit Advice Line for Families
Conwy Councils Benefit Service has launched a Benefit Advice Line which will be available to all households in Conwy County with a child or young person aged between 0-25 years.
The Advice Line will offer information, help and advice for all welfare benefits, including a benefit check to make sure that families are receiving the benefits they are entitled to.
The service is free, confidential and available to households with a child or young person aged between 0-25 years.

The lines are open from 9.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
