We provide advice on the whole range of social security benefits including: Disability Living Allowance Attendance Allowance Pension Credit Employment and Support Allowance

We currently provide a service to anyone who has a social worker with the following teams:

  • Learning Disabilities
  • Older People
  • Physically Disabled and Sensory Impaired
  • Children
  • Young People & Families
  • Mental Health

We also provide a service to anyone referred through hospital social workers or to people receiving a supported people service or a chargeable service such as homecare or day-care.

If you receive a service from any one of the above teams your social worker will automatically refer you to the Welfare Rights Unit if a benefit maximisation check is required. Unfortunately, the Welfare Rights Unit is unable to take on case work from outside these sources.

Benefit Advice Line for Families

Conwy Councils Benefit Service has launched a Benefit Advice Line which will be available to all households in Conwy County with a child or young person aged between 0-25 years.

The Advice Line will offer information, help and advice for all welfare benefits, including a benefit check to make sure that families are receiving the benefits they are entitled to.

The service is free, confidential and available to households with a child or young person aged between 0-25 years.

If you need benefit advice contact our Benefit Advice Line on 01492 576616
The lines are open from 9.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday.

However, if you do require any advice on Welfare Benefit issues but do not meet any of the above criteria there are other organisations that may be able to help you.
