The County Borough of Conwy (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and On Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2006 (Amendment No 1) Order 2023 - West Promenade Colwyn Bay
The Conwy County Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9, of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will amend the Conwy County Borough Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and On Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2006 to extend the Controlled Parking Zone to that length of West Promenade Colwyn Bay from its junction with Marine Road for a distance of 255 metres in a north westerly direction as specified in the Schedules below.
A copy of the proposed Order together with a map showing the lengths of road to which the Order relates and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined at the Council Offices Coed Pella Colwyn Bay and on the Council website.
Objections to the proposed Order, together with the grounds on which they are made should be sent in writing to the Traffic Section, Environment Roads and Facilities, PO Box 1, Conwy LL30 9GN or to traffic@conwy.gov.uk by 15 December 2023.
Schedule 1 (Charges for Dispensation Certificate and Parking Permits)

Charge: £17.00 per vehicle, per day up to a period of one week
Schedule 2 (Charges from 1 May - 30 September)
West Promenade Colwyn Bay; from its junction with Marine Road for a distance of 255 metres in a north westerly direction

- Operating days: Monday to Sunday inclusive
- Maximum period of waiting: No restriction
- Charging hours: 10am to 4pm:
- Class of vehicle: Cars and light vans and Motor caravans (as defined in Article 2)
- Scale of charges: Up to 4 hours £4.50, Over 4 hours £6.50
- Charging hours: 4pm to 10am:
- Class of vehicle: Cars and light vans (as defined in Article 2)
- Scale of charges: No charge
- Charging hours: 4pm to 11pm and 8am to 10am:
- Class of vehicle: Motor caravans (as defined in Article 2)
- Scale of charges: No charge
Schedule 3 (Charges from 1 October - 30 April)
