Cabinet Member urges residents to look at how they pay their Council Tax before the new financial year

At a meeting last week (24/01/23) Cllr Mike Priestley, Conwy’s Cabinet Member for Finance, acknowledged that the rising cost of living was affecting everyone.

If you currently pay Council Tax by direct debit over 10 months, consider changing to stretch your direct debit over 12 months, to lower each monthly payment.

Cllr Priestley said, “I’m looking to spread my Council Tax over a 12 month direct debit. We know that people are finding things tough with the current cost of living. Spreading the cost of your Council Tax over 12 months could be something that could help a little. And we’d urge people to think about this now, before the new bills are sent out.”
