Green Gele phase 2 starts

Contractors have started work on the next phase of the Green Gele project in Abergele.

Work to plant new trees, flowers and hedgerows has been completed at both Gele Park and Pentre Mawr Park, with help from members of the community.

Phase 2 can now start, which will involve constructing new paths at Gele Park and a community event space at Pentre Mawr Park.  Some areas of the parks may be fenced off while the work is done.

The Green Gele Project, part of the Abergele Place Plan, is focusing on improving the quality and access to green space in the Abergele community.

The Green Gele Project is supported by the Enabling Natural Resources and Well-being Scheme (ENRaW) and Section 106 funding.

Conwy County Borough Council is working with Abergele Town Council to deliver the Abergele Place Plan.
