ccbc-chairmanCouncillor Ifor Glyn Lloyd extends his deepest sympathies on behalf of councillors and staff at Conwy County Borough Council.

During this period of mourning the flags will be flown at half-mast at all Council Buildings. 

Committee meetings will be suspended during this time. 

Members of the public are invited to sign one of the Books of Condolence that will be opened at Bodlondeb in Conwy and Coed Pella in Colwyn Bay.

The Books of Condolence will be available:

  • Monday, 9am - 5pm
  • Tuesday, 9am - 7pm
  • Wednesday, 9am - 5pm
  • Thursday, 9am - 7pm
  • Friday, 9am - 4.45pm

The Local Proclamation on the Accession of a new Sovereign will be made by the Chairman of the Council at 2.30pm on 11 September 2022.

On Proclamation Day flags will start the day at half-mast.  Flags will then be flown from the mast-head from 11am to coincide with the reading of the Proclamation.  Flags will remain at the mast-head until 1pm the following day.
