The County Borough of Conwy (Promenade Llanfairfechan) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 2025
The Conwy County Borough Council has made an Order under Sections 1 and 2 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will place restrictions on the lengths of road as set out in the Schedules below.
A copy of the Order and plans, which will come into operation 28 July 2025 may be examined on the Council website. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date hereof apply to the High Court for this purpose.
Schedule 1: No waiting at any time
- Promenade Llanfairfechan:
- North side: from its junction with Shore Road for a distance of 5m in an easterly direction
- South side:
- from a point 5m west of Shore Road for a distance of 5m in an easterly direction
- from a point 5m west of Promenade West Access Road between properties known as Glan-y-Don and Ger-y-Mor for a distance of approximately 15m in an easterly direction
- from a point 5m west of Promenade Central Access Road between properties known as Balmoral and Kingston for a distance of approximately 15m in an easterly direction
- from a point 7m west of the Promenade East Access Road between properties known as Llais y Lli and The Windsor for a distance of approximately 12m in an easterly direction
- Access Road to Landing Stage:
- East side: from its junction with the Promenade for a distance of 5 metres in a northerly direction
- Shore Road:
- East side: from its junction with the Promenade for a distance of 8 metres in a southerly direction
- Promenade West Access Road:
- Both sides: from its junction with the Promenade for a distance of 6 metres in a southerly direction
- Promenade Central Access Road:
- Both sides: from its junction with the Promenade for a distance of 6 metres in a southerly direction
- Promenade East Access Road:
- Both sides: from its junction with the Promenade for a distance of 6 metres in a southerly direction
Schedule 2: Limited Waiting 45 minutes, No Return within 60 minutes (exception for valid permit holders)
- Promenade Llanfairfechan:
- North side: from a point 5m east of its junction with Access Road to Landing Stage for a distance of 300 metres in an easterly direction
- South side:
- from a point 5m east of the junction with Shore Road for a distance of approximately 43m in an easterly direction
- from a point 5m east of the Promenade West Access Road for a distance of approximately 62m in an easterly direction
- from a point 5m east of the Promenade Central Access Road for a distance of approximately 59m in an easterly direction
- from a point 66m east of the Promenade Central Access Road between properties known as Balmoral and Kingston for a distance of approximately 17m in an easterly direction
- from a point 5m east of the Promenade East Access Road between properties known as Llais y Lli and The Windsor for a distance of approximately 27m in an easterly direction
Schedule 3: Prohibition of motorhomes and caravans 11pm to 8am
- Promenade Llanfairfechan:
- Both sides: its entire length
Schedule 4: On Street Disabled Persons Parking Bay
- Promenade Llanfairfechan:
- South side: from a point 66m east of the Promenade Central Access Road between properties known as Balmoral and Kingston for a distance of approximately 17m in an easterly direction
