(Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 2024 – Part 1
Conwy County Borough Council made the above-named Order under Sections 1 and 2 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will place restrictions on the lengths of road as set out in the Schedules below.
A copy of the Order and plan, which will come into operation on 12 February 2024 may be examined on the Council website. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date hereof apply to the High Court for this purpose.
Schedule 1 - No waiting at any time
Beacons Way, Conwy
- South east side: From a point 20 metres north east of its junction with Morlais to a point 145 metres north west of Meirion Drive
- Both sides: from its junction with Meirion Drive for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction.
Morlais, Conwy
- Both sides: from its junction with Beacons Way for a distance of 5 metres in a south easterly direction.
Ellis Way, Conwy
- Both sides: from its junction with Meirion Drive for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction.
- North side: from a point 10metres west of its junction with Telford Close for a distance of 87 metres in an easterly direction.
- South side: from its junction with Morfa Drive for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction.
Telford Close, Conwy
- Both Sides: from its junction with Ellis Way for a distance of 5 metres in a northerly direction.
Morfa Drive, Conwy
- Both sides; from its junction with Ellis Way for a distance of 15 metres in a southerly direction.
Meirion Drive, Conwy
- Both sides: from its junction with Ellis Way for a distance of 10 metres in a south westerly and north easterly direction.
Oakwood Lane
- East side: From its junction with Sychnant Pass Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south westerly direction.
Sychnant Pass Road
- South east side: From its junction with Oakwood Lane for a distance of 26 metres.
Ysgol Aberconwy access road off Morfa Drive
- Both sides; from its junction with Morfa Drive for a distance of 30 metres in an easterly direction.
Pen Garth
- North side: from its junction with St Agnes Road for a distance of 12 metres in a westerly direction.
Castle Square, Conwy
- North side: from its junction with Rose Hill Street for a distance of 37 metres in an easterly direction.
York Place
- South west side: from a point 11 metres south east of its junction with Chapel Street for a distance of 23 metres in a south easterly direction.
Upper Gate Street, Conwy
- South east side: from its junction with St Agnes Road for a distance of 20 metres in a north easterly direction.
Hen Bont, Capel Curig
- Both sides; from a point 55metres north of its junction with the A4086 for a distance of 62m in a northerly direction.
Schedule 2 - Prohibition of waiting of Motor Homes and Caravans at any time during the hours of 11pm to 8am

- South side: From a point 12 metres south-east of its junction with Llanrwst Road to Benarth Lodge, a distance of 260 metres.
