The County Borough of Conwy (Dolgarrog and Tyn y Groes) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 2022


Conwy County Borough Council have made the above-named Order under Sections 1 and 2 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will prohibit the waiting of vehicles at any time in the length of road specified in Schedule 1 and limit waiting to 120 minutes, 8am to 7pm, no return within 120 minutes in the length of road specified in Schedule 2.

A copy of the Order and plans, which will come into operation on 19 December 2022 may be viewed on the Council website.  Exceptions are provided in the Order to permit waiting for the purposes of alighting, boarding, loading, unloading and works of maintenance, repair and the like and Vehicles displaying both a disabled person's badge and a disabled person's parking disc.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date hereof apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Schedule 1 - No waiting at any time

Conway Road, Dolgarrog

  • East side:  from its junction with Clark Street for a distance of 70 metres in a southerly direction
  • East side:  from its junction with Clark Street for a distance of 80 metres in a northerly direction

Un-named road (leading to Dŵr Cymru premises)

  • North side:  from its junction with Conway Road for a distance of 7 metres in a north easterly direction
  • South side:  from its junction with Conway Road for a distance of 20 metres in a north easterly direction

Conway Road, Tyn y Groes

  • West side:  from a point 16 metres south west of its junction with Rowen Road Sgriven for a distance of 24 metres in a north easterly direction
  • West side:  from a point 53 metres north east of its junction with Rowen Road Sgriven for a distance of 24 metres in a south westerly direction
  • East side:  from a point 53 metres north east of its junction with Rowen Road Sgriven to its junction with B5270 Tal y Cafn to Tyn y Groes Road

Hillside, Dolgarrog

  • Both sides:  from a point 45 metres west of its junction with Conway Road for a distance of 27 metres in a westerly, then southerly direction

Schedule 2 - Limited waiting 120 minutes, 8am - 7pm, No return with 120 minutes

Conway Road, Dolgarrog

  • West side:  from a point 1 metre north of its junction with Clark Street for a distance of 21 metres in a northerly direction
  • West side:  from a point 5 metres south of its junction with Clark Street for a distance of 65 metre in a southerly direction
